Casa

Salaam,

So we are now in Casablanca (Casa for short) it took us about 6 hours in a train car with 100 other people and three little windows! It was one of the hottest experiences of my life!!! hahaha but we arrived safe and sound...so glad to finally be in Casa! D. and K. are workers here in Casa at an English school; K. is the daughter of our friends B. and K. who live in Tetouan. D. came and picked us up from the train station in their family suv. It was amazing to see how 7 people plus 7 people-sized backpacks fit into this semi small car...the Lord definitely expanded the space for sure! D. and K. and their three little boys live in a beautiful lil home right on the beach! They have been so kind to us. They have fed us good, washed our clothes and I think that last night was the best sleep I've had in about 2 weeks.

I am looking forward to what the Lord has for us in this city. The past few weeks in Tetouan have been so sweet and I am sad to leave! We made friends with the maids in our hostel and dined with them 3 times!!! One of their sons, Achmed took the guys to the beach and then came back picked us girls up and took all of us to the humum. (Bathhouse) We also made some new friends....a former diplomat and VIP journalist! They just happened to be in our hostel at the same time that we were walking out to go get lunch. They were changing their clothes because it was the King of Morocco's birthday and they...along with all the other high-ups in Maroc were having lunch with him. Anyways they asked us where we were from, we told them and so started off our conversation. By the end of our conversation they had both given us their cards with their cell numbers and told us to call them if we ever in their home towns. But what was so sweet about this whole scene was that here...us six dirty looking American kids are standing in this narly hostel handing hands with our maids friends talking with these two respected men who are on their way to see the King!!! It was pretty crazy! So please pray for these men and for our maid friends and families as well as Achmed, that they would see the salvation that Jesus offers!

Well that’s it for now...tomorrow we go into downtown Casa to search for a hostel to spend the rest of our time here in! Thank you all so much for your prayers....the Spirit of the Lord is definitely at work here! I am so blessed by your faithfulness and I know that the Lord is too!!!
